The DNZ Savage Flatback Receiver mounts are precision-engineered to accommodate the unique contours of receivers from 2003 and older models, both in long and short actions. These mounts feature a distinctive design where the front receiver is rounded, contrasting with the flat back end, ensuring a secure fit for your scope.
Installation is straightforward with base screws measuring 6-48 X 1/4 inches and ring screws at 6-40 X 5/8 inches. Both sets of screws utilize a common 7/64 Allen wrench for ease of assembly. The hole spacing on both front and back mounts is precisely .86 inches, but it's important to note that these two mounts differ; the rear mount stands taller due to the lower profile of the receiver's back end.
Choose between standard or tactical rings based on your needs: Standard rings measure .63 inches wide and come equipped with two screws per ring for adequate stability. In contrast, Tactical rings offer enhanced security with their .80-inch width and four-screw configuration per ring.
The height from the top of the receiver to the centerline of your scope tube varies according to preference: low at .92 inches, medium at 1.05 inches, or high at 1.17 inches—ensuring you achieve optimal sight alignment tailored to your shooting style.
