The InfiRay PICTAIL mounting system is a masterful integration of precision and versatility, designed for the discerning shooter who demands adaptability without sacrificing performance. At its core, this innovative system marries the ubiquitous dovetail shoe, commonly found on helmet-mounted night vision optics, with the robust MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail utilized across modern weapon platforms.
This union yields an exceptionally accurate and versatile setup when mounted on a rifle while preserving all operational capabilities for helmet use. The PICTAIL is fully compatible with standard dovetail receptacles used in helmet interfaces from renowned manufacturers like Wilcox KVC.
On the weapons side of things, it features a specially crafted MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail equipped with one slot that seamlessly interfaces with the ADM MQD mount. This combination allows you to adjust your optic's footprint effortlessly across any standard Picatinny rail. When operating as a standalone optic, expect over 4.5 inches of rear offset; reverse it into clip-on mode and see this shrink to an efficient 1.5 inches.
Remarkably compact in clip-on mode, this setup requires just four rail slots ahead of your day optic—ideal for shorter firearms such as SBRs (Short Barreled Rifles) and pistols where space comes at a premium.
