This kit simplifies bullet sizing by allowing bullets to be pushed through the sizing die nose-first. This eliminates the need for special nose punches, streamlining your workflow. As a result, gas checks are automatically seated and crimped securely in place during this process.
A noteworthy feature of this system is its unique container that captures sized bullets efficiently, keeping your workspace organized and minimizing cleanup time. Remember that this tool is intended exclusively for use on single-stage presses; it replaces the shell holder in the ram with a push-through punch mechanism.
While Lee does not provide top punches for molds, their innovative design makes such tools unnecessary when using this kit. To effectively crimp gas checks along with lubing and sizing operations: first lubricate your bullets using liquid alox (available separately), apply a gas check at each bullet's base, then set them atop the punch—when pressed through the die—the bullet emerges perfectly sized with a firmly crimped gas check.
For optimal results when working with cast bullets, select a sizing kit dimensionally .001" larger than your firearm’s groove diameter to ensure peak performance downrange.
